Nigella Lawson talks Comfort Food

Sweet Potato Curry and Mushroom Ragout? That's Comfort - New York TimesAs the last throws of winter are upon us, our internal clocks are trying to break from the constraints of centuries of being subjects of what our enviroment allowed us. Today's choices are still outweighed by what our forefathers had to choose from. So despite the multitudes of foods shrink wrapped at the grocer, we still crave those things that bring a soothing, soul quenching satisfaction. For me, it seems that stews with grains and root vegetables always doest the trick. A hearty chili can always take the edge off too. But I'd like to know what those that do read, or stumble upon this blog find to be that winter comfort food. So please leave a comment with your favorite dish to fight the late winter blues.
